Mitchells campsite will be at Hitchcock Park located at 1201 E Hanson St in Mitchell. Hitchcock Park features ball diamonds, concession stands and drinking water, flower gardens, horseshoe courts, multi-purpose court, picnic shelters, picnic areas, playground equipment, tennis courts and a bandstand. It is also home to the brand new Hitchcock Aquatic Center with water slide, 0-depth play area with water features, and 6-lane 50-meter pool, concession stand, restroom/showers and drinking water. |

TOUR DE KOTA BEER GARDEN - HITCHCOCK PARK Hosted by Palace City Lions Club
A beer garden will be open serving ice cold malt beverages from 3 pm -8 pm at the Tour De Kota campsite in Mitchell on Sunday, June 8, 2008. The beer garden will be hosted by the Palace City Lions Club. Known for working to end preventable blindness, Lions participate in a vast
variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from cleaning up local parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters. Proceeds from the day will go toward local and state projects. |

The over 5,000 scale model cars, mostly 1/25th scale are the personal collection of Milo Sheldon. He began the collection as a child in 1949. To his knowledge, it is the only displayed collection based on promotional models. You will see the history of the automobile in miniature. In the museum are American and Import vehicles spanning the past 100 years. You will also see trucks, cycles, and even a few water fun craft, snowmobiles and portable sawmill. Look for a Tucker, a Hudson and a Trabant.
